Phil was an ever present during 2007, after joining the club from NRL outfit Cronulla Sharks. A hard working and determined player, Phil was forced to play in the centres for the majority of the season despite having forged an impressive career in the second row in Australia which include two test appearances.

With Brian Noble having made several additions to the backline, Phil is expected to return to the forward in 2008; a move that is sure to see an improvement in his performances.
