Briers will be playing in his 11th season in the primrose and blue in 2008. A prolific goal kicker. play kicker and "clever" player, Briers has always been an asset to the club. Up until this year, he has been the main play maker at Warrington. I'm sure he'll be glad that the pressure will be off him with his new team mates. His kicking duties will be under threat from Chris Hicks and that should push him to improve after a disappointing season with the tee in 2007.

Briers reverts back to his stand off spot for the new season, although he may be called upon to move into the number 7 slot if Monaghan plays at hooker at any point during a game. Still a very important player for Warrington, but no longer the only player that can create chances.
