Benny was originally signed as a centre to help stave off relegation in 2002. He was one of Paul Cullens first signings and after solid performances it centre, he was moved into the second row. Very strong performances assured an almost guaranteed starting spot every week, which was topped off by being named Warrington Wolves player of the year in 2007.

Westwood seems to have followed in the footsteps of the type of play his second row partner in 2007, Adrian Morley plays. He is very aggressive, but when his tackles hit their mark, the receiving opposition certainly knows about it. Benny will be looking to work well alongside his new second row partner Louis Anderson in 2008
