A tough and physically powerful prop, Cooper is another product of the Squadbuilder academy system. A former Latchford Albion player, Cooper made his Super League debut in 2006 after completing his AS Levels.
With 4 appearances under his belt in 2007, Cooper suffered a broken leg in an academy fixture and while in hospital, contracted pneumonia. After a short period on a life support machine, Cooper made a full recovery and made his long awaited comeback in the 2007 boxing day fixture against Leigh.
