Gleeson joined the club on the back of a loan deal from parent club Wigan Warriors. The youngster was not required at the JJB Stadium, and sought a first-team place elsewhere.
He briefly did find some action at close-by Widnes Vikings, a club which is only too happy to give first team action to the Warriors' junior players. Made his debut against St Helens at Knowsley Road, where he scored for the Wildcats.
