Barrow Born winger Gardner signed for Saints in 2001 from Barrow Raiders and within a couple of seasons, has established himself has the first choice number 2 at Knowsley Road.
Gardner was selected for Great Britain in 2006, making a try scoring début against New Zealand in the XXXX test at Knowsley Road. With 163 club appearances under his belt at such a young age, Gardner has crossed the whitewash a total of 93 times heading into the 2008 season, including 2 scores in the Challenge Cup final at the New Wembley stadium.
