Currently the oldest player at Knowsley Road, Talau signed from Canterbury towards the end of the 2003 Super League Season. The Samoan born New Zealand international as made 13 appearances for the Kiwi's and was named in the squad for the 2000 World Cup.
Possibly one of the best defensive centres in the game today, Talau has scored over 200 points for Saints, but no doubt saved his opposition from scoring a similar amount. 2008 will see him starting a new 2 year contract, quite possibly seeing him to the end of his career in the game.
