Saints captain Sculthorpe is entering his testimonial season after completing 10 years at the club he signed for from local rivals Warrington as a 20 year old. The £370,000 fee was certainly worth every penny for both clubs as it helped Warrington stay in business and Sculthorpe went on to win every prize available in domestic rugby league.

Sculthorpe is so far the only man to have retained the Man of Steel award. He is only one of a few band of players to have scored over 100 tries and 11 goals for Saints and has already surpassed the 1,000 point mark for the club. Sculthorpe's has had no end of injuries since the end of 2003 and most have been season ending knee injuries. After only signing a 1 year contract extension, it is widely rumoured that 2008 will be his last year at Saints.
