York started the game in fine form, some good build up play allowed Sam Blaney to cross for an unconverted try.

The Robins bounced back with a try from John Gay with Spavern adding the extras, the score 4-6 at the break.

On the back of heavy pressure the Knights crossed with Jonny Waldron, but again Rovers levelled shortly after with a one on one strip by Liam Welham.

It looked as though Hull KR were to hold on despite continued York dominance, however Paul Hughes denied them with a try in the final moments to give the home side the victory.
