Hull FC 24-30 Huddersfield

Huddersfield made it three wins on the trot, after narrowly overcoming second-from-bottom Hull at the KC Stadium, in an enthralling clash.
The victory now means Huddersfield are virtually safe from winning the coveted wooden spoon, while Hull will be looking nervously over their shoulders following Castleford's win over Wakefield earlier in the day.
The pendulum between both sides swung forth and back before Huddersfield completed victory, despite a late rally from Hull.
It was the home side who opened the scoring through Danny Houghton. Willie Manu exploded through the Giants' defence before setting up Houghton to score.
And Manu delivered again when his pass found Shaun Berrigan to cross for Hull's second score, and put them in pole position. Two conversions and a penalty goal ensured Hull FC opened up a 14-0 lead before the Giants finally found their feet.
Paul Whatuira was the first to take advantage, grabbing the first of his two tries being set-up by debutant David Faimu, before Jamahl Lolesi added a second shortly after.
And it was the Giants who went in with their noses in front when nippy scrum-half Luke Robinson broke the line and found Martin Aspinwall to score in the corner giving the Giants an 18-14 lead.
Graeme Horne dragged Hull back in front shortly after the restart, but Chris Thorman added a goal to bring the game all square at 20-apiece.
But Whatuira and a Chris Thorman penalty swung the game back in favour of the Giants to give them a six point lead.
But nerves were rattling when youngster Tom Briscoe went over in the corner for Hull, but the Giants managed to hold on with Thorman adding another penalty shortly before full-time.
