St Helens 54-4 Huddersfield Giants
St Helens went two points clear at the top of Super League with a comprehensive 54-4 win over Huddersfield Giants.
Jon Wilkin and Stephen Tyrer scored two tries apiece as the visitors had no answer to the class of the reigning Super League, Challenge Cup and World Champions.
It was Wilkin that put Saints ahead early on, only for Chris Nero to drag Huddersfield back within two points. It was the closest the visitors came to Saints from then on. Leon Pryce, Willie Talau, Maurie Fa'asavalu and Tyrer's first try put Saints 28-4 up at the break.
Sixth placed Huddersfield, who fell to their third successive defeat, couldn't hold out Saints in the second half either, Ade Gardner taking just six minutes to cross the whitewash for another Saints try.
Wilkin added his second try before Lee Gilmour finished off a nice move in the Huddersfield twenty.
Steve Tyrer completed the scoring with his second try, adding to the 7 goals he kicked throughout.
