Former State of Origin centre Josh Hannay is a doubt for Celtic's clash with Bradford on Saturday.

The game is the Crusaders only chance of picking up a double this season following their 30-24 win in the reverse fixture at Odsal in May.

Coach John Dixon said: “We are hopeful that Josh will be back on Saturday. But we will take his progress on a day by day basis and we won’t know for sure whether he’ll be in the team until Saturday morning.”

Hannay has missed six of the last seven matches through injury but is hopeful of a return for the game against the Bulls, although one player definitely missing is forward Adam Peek.

Peek is facing a long spell on the sidelines after suffering suspected medial ligament damage.

Coach John Dixon said: "It looks like he has torn a medial ligament in his knee and that's a real blow for us.

"It could be quite serious but some guys play tough and he's one that does play tough. If I chipped my toenail I'd probably be out for months but some guys can play whatever happens. He's an important player for us."

Loose forward Peter Lupton and second rower Jason Chan also picked up knocks in last week's defeat at Hull FC and both remain doubts for this weekend's match.
