Thomas Bosc and Clint Greenshields combined to give Catalans renewed hope of making the end of year Super League play-offs with a victory over injury-plagued Harlequins in Perpignan.

Frenchman Bosc scored a superb individual effort, while Greenshields provided a dangerous link in attack playing a part in three Dragons' tries.

Tries from Olivier Elima and Dimitri Pelo gave Catalans a slender advantage in the first half, with both sides providing a tough test to break down.

But the second half became more free flowing and it took just three minutes for Pelo to grab his second after the interval.

On-loan Hull KR player Ryan Esders gave Quins hope of coming back from their 14-0 deficit when he powered over, but it was Bosc's effort minutes later that took all the plaudits.

On the final tackle, the 25-year-old picked the ball up and firstly chipped the line of the defence before regathering and then had the skill to chip onrushing full-back Will Sharp for a sublime score under the posts.

Luke Gale provided some faint hope again for the Quins as he latched onto a Catalans mistake and raced 60 metres to score despite the attentions of four defenders.

But further tries from Jean-Phillipe Baile and Steven Bell poured more misery on the Quins, despite Gareth Haggerty's effort late on.

And Casey McGuire wrapped up the emphatic and somewhat cruel victory as the half-time hooter sounded.
