Castleford tie up winger Fletcher
Castleford Tigers have extended their deal with Australian winger Adam Fletcher, agreeing a contract until the end of the season.
Fletcher returned to the Tigers in the opening week of the current season on a trial basis, having had a spell at the Jungle in the latter half of the 2006 campaign, and today agreed a new deal for the rest of the SLXIII season.
He joined the Tigers from Queensland Cup side Redcliffe Dolphins and in his first spell scored 8 tries in 13 appearances for the club. Leaving the Jungle at the end of the 2006 season he played very little rugby in 2007 but having kept fit with some boxing was soon in action for the Tigers this year and has played in five of the eight rounds.
Adam said: “I’m pleased that this has been sorted and happy to be staying with the Tigers for the rest of the season. I enjoy it here and as I said when I came over earlier in the season, probably shouldn’t have left after my first stint.”
