England squad to share prize money
England players are set to earn more than £10,000 each if they win the World Cup.
It was announced this week that the winning team in Brisbane on November 22 will receive a cheque for £255,000.
The Rugby Football League have confirmed that the prize money will be shared equally amongst Tony Smith's 24 man squad.
If England finish as runners up, the players would each stand to collect around £8,500 for five matches, on top of their daily allowance.
Ticket sales for the four-week tournament have passed the £2million mark and organisers say the final at Suncorp Stadium is a guaranteed 52,500 sell-out.
