National Leagues Round Up

Widnes travelled to Sheffield on Thursday for the week's live television fixture. It was the Vikings who edged a win, with the kicking of Steven Tyrer important as both sides managed four tries each. It was Smith, Dean, Tyrer and Gaskell who crossed for the away side, who started the season on a points tally of -9.
Salford continued their march towards Super League with an easy victory over Batley, running out 46-0 winners. Turner, Myler, Ambler, Littler, Adamson, Sibbitt and Ratchford all scored tries.
Leigh defeated Whitehaven 32-8. Higson, Moran, Alstead, Kohe-Love and Doran all scored tries as the Centurions look to build some momentum heading into the play offs.
Celtic pulled off a stunning win at Halifax with a 38-28 scoreline in favour of the Welsh side. Two tries each from Martin and Mapp were important in the victory as well as touchdowns from Budworth and Blackwood.
Featherstone travelled to Dewsbury to secure a 36-18 win. Thackeray and Dickens scored two tries a-piece while Joe Hurst and Jack Lee also scored 4 pointers.
Friday evening saw Doncaster edge York in National League Two 34-32, with the Knights missing a late conversion to fail to secure a draw. A hat trick of tries from Andreas Bauer were the highlight for the Dons.
Barrow beat Keighley 22-8 on Friday. Ellis and Nixon were the only try scorers for the Raiders in a game dominated by the boot of Holt.
Blackpool swept aside Keighley on Sunday with a 42-26 win. Two tries came from Jonny Leather while Alker, Keavney, Mayberry, Gillam, Kilgannon and Fairhurst also scored tries.
Rochdale recorded a 42-12 win over London Skolars. Muir, Corcoran, Rivett, Butterworth, Billings,
Ainscough, Rolls and Snyed tries ensured the win.
Oldham defeated Swinton 38-20 away from home. St Hilaire scored twice and Onyango, O'Connor, Menzies, Brown and Hodson added tries.
Workington lost at home to the promoted Gateshead 22-14. Knowles, Sanderson, Russel and McPhal scored tries.
