Catalans Dragons spoiled the party at Huddersfield's Galpharm Stadium by grabbing a 22-20 win to consolidate third place in the table.
A brace of tries from Adam Mogg in the second half helped the Dragons snatch the game after they had played catch up for most of the match.
Martin Aspinwall put the home side ahead early on, but Justin Murphy tied things up on the quarter mark.
David Hodgson and Aaron Gorrell shared tries but Chris Thorman's penalty just before half time gave Huddersfield a narrow 12-10 advantage at the break.
Giants Chairman Ken Davy had opened up the gates for free to make a significant announcement, and he told the 12,127 crowds about deducted ticket prices for next season, hoping to replicate the success that the town's football team has had with a similar initiative.
Another Thorman penalty stretched the home side's advantage before Mogg's first try tied things up at 14-14. Danny Kirmond's converted try gave Huddersfield the advantage once again, but Mogg struck again to tie things up at 20-20.
And Thomas Bosc converted a 70th minute penalty, which proved the last scoring of the game, and just enough to secure another two points for the Dragons, as they continue their impressive season.
