Hull were unable to establish themselves in the game as they squandered possession repeatedly due to handling errors and they would find themselves further behind before the break.
Catalan’s showed some great defence by forcing Tom Briscoe out of play and, from the resulting scrum Mogg weaved more magic, creating the space for Murphy to beat two players as he ensured his side would be 0-12 up at the break.
When Fakir scored a third Catalans try after the break, the result seemed in little doubt but Hull responded well, crossing for two tries.
Carvell scored the first despite being booed by the home fans over his U-turn about his contract with Hull.
Hall looked to have added Hull’s second but an extraordinary tackle Casey McGuire forced him to knock on over the try line, after he was hunted down from well inside the opposite half.
Berrigan made up for the near miss when he went over from dummy-half to bring Hull back into the match.
Khattabi again looked to have finished the game when he went over in the corner but the home side responded with Briscoe claiming Hall’s clever kick.
Greenshields did manage to finally kill off the Black and Whites however, as he out jumped Matt Sing to score from Bosc’s kick and seal two wins on the road for Catalans in a week, who leave the top-two looking nervously over their shoulders.
