Salford showed little mercy for Ellery Hanley’s Doncaster outfit, running in 10 tries to none. Fitzpatrick, Stapleton, Sibbit, Sidlow and Paul all crossed, while Richard Myler bagged a brace and Paul White scored a hat trick.
Blackpool defeated London Skolars on Saturday to kick off the weekend’s National League Two action. Chris Forster scored two tries in a 32-24 win, while Munroe, Weed and Llewelyn also added touch downs.
Gateshead beat York 40-18 on Sunday. Mcalpine, Jamieson, Knowles, Watton, Peers, Russel and Neighbour all made their way over the whitewash to secure a comfortable win.
Hunslet and Barrow scored two tries a-piece but it was the Hawks who snuck a victory winning 15-10. Blanchard and Young were the try scorers, but two goals from Young, one from Aitken and a field goal from Hasty secured the three points.
Keighley beat Rochdale 36-22 at Spotland, with two early tries from Dan Potter followed by scores from Rawlins, Nicholson, Feather and Fawcett ensuring the points went back over the Pennines.
Mick Nanyn scored all 16 of his team’s points with three tries and two goals as Oldham defeated Workington 16-14 at Derwent Park. Scott Burgess and Bryce Poisel scored tries which gave Town the lead, but a 77th minute try to complete Nanyn’s hat trick snatched the win.
