Huddersfield's young star Leroy Cudjoe has committed his future to the club by penning a new two-year deal with the club.

The full-back, 20, is the second Huddersfield-born player to extend his stay at the club recently, after young centre Michael Lawrence signed a new five-year deal the other week.

Cudjoe has impressed greatly in his debut Super League season, and has even taken on goal-kicking duties when skipper Chris Thorman has been injured.

Cudjoe admitted he had no doubts in his mind about signing at the Galpharm Stadium until the end of the 2010 season.

"I'm delighted to sign up with my home-town team for the next two years. I am proud to have broken into the first team this season and have worn the claret and gold shirt with pride," he said.

Giants managing director Richard Thewlis was also thrilled at securing the services of another young local talent.

"This is more good news for the club in terms of its forward planning and retention of local young talent," he said.
