Hull FC will hold a minutes ovation before Sunday’s engage Super League game against Warrington Wolves at the KC Stadium (3-15pm) in mark of respect for their former captain David Topliss who sadly passed away.
The decision to hold a minute’s ovation for the one time Hull FC all-time greats and true legend came at the request of his widow Daryl. She wants the fans to celebrate Toppo’s life by their ovation.
It will also give the fans an opportunity to show their appreciation to a man who led Hull FC to Championship and Challenge Cup victories and through the most successful era in the clubs long and distinguish history.
The 58-year-old former Hull, Wakefield and Great Britain star had his funeral at Wakefield Cathedral today, where the Rugby League world turned out in their hundreds to pay their respects to a great player and person.
Hull FC has opened a book of condolence for David. The book is being displayed in the Hull FC Stadium Retail store for fans to pay their respects to a true legend.
