Sydney Roosters teenager Mitchell Pearce will make his State of Origin debut in the series decider at ANZ Stadium on Wednesday 2nd July.
Pearce, who has made just 30 first grade appearances, will be partnered by Roosters team mate Braith Anasta in the halves after both Peter Wallace and Greg Bird were ruled out with injury.
Mark Gasnier will also miss out and will be replaced by another State of Origin debutant in the shape of Canberra Raiders centre Joel Monaghan. Parramatta Eels winger Jarryd Hayne missed game two through injury but returns to replace Steve Turner on the wing.
The Blues have also reshuffled their forward pack and will move Willie Mason to the front row in place of Craig Fitzgibbon who returns to his favoured position in the back row. Ben Cross also returns after injury and will replace his Newcastle Knights team mate Steve Simpson.
Meanwhile, Queensland coach Mal Meninga has the luxury of being able to name the same team that levelled the series with a record equalling 30-0 victory over the Blues at Suncorp Stadium.
The Maroons will again be skippered by Cameron Smith, the Melbourne Storm hooker, in the absence of the injured Darren Lockyer.
