Leeds' half-back pairing of Rob Burrow and Danny McGuire will be at Headingley for a further five years, after signing new five-year deals with the club.

The deals will keep the young Great Britain stars at the Headingley Carnegie Stadium until the end of the 2013 season.

McGuire and Burrow, both 25, were born and bred in Leeds, and look set to remain at the club for the entirety of their careers.

Burrow, England's probable scrum-half for the Gillette international against France on June 27, was thrilled to sign for the reigning Super League champions.

"This is the best club in the world and I don't want to be anywhere else. It is great playing and training alongside lads I grew up with and that was certainly a factor when deciding on the new deal," he said.

McGuire broke into Leeds' first-team squad a year after Burrow in 2002, and was pleased to commit his future to a club he believes is destined for great things.

"I am really pleased to have got my future sorted out. I think this group of players is going to be successful in the years ahead and I want to be part of that," explained McGuire.

"I am 25 now and as a player your best years are probably between 25 and 30 and I am happy to be playing those years of my career here at the Rhinos," he added.

Kiwi head coach Brian McLennan also expressed his delight at securing two of the club's key assets for another five years.

"This is fantastic news for the Rhinos and our future. Rob and Danny are world-class players and for them to commit their career to the club speaks volumes for them as individuals but also about Leeds as a club," said McClennan.

"The club have worked hard to create an environment that people do not want to leave and that is a great message to give our young people. Both players have shown loyalty and commitment to the club and to spend your entire career at one club is something that should be admired in the modern era," he added.
