Hull FC have re-called forward Matty Dale from his loan spell with Wakefield after one month at Belle Vue.

Dale joined the Wildcats on a one month loan initially with a view to keeping him for the remainder of the Super League XIII season but injury woes at the KC Stadium will see him return immediately.

He featured twice for Wakefield during the spell including their victory over Castleford at the Millennium Stadium before picking up an injury but returned to action last week in the reserve grade.

Head coach John Kear said: “Matty made a great contribution to the squad during his time here and we would have liked to have kept him longer however due to Hull’s injury situation they have re-called him with immediate effect.

“We would like to thank Matty for his efforts and we wish him the best of luck in the future.”
