One of the rare sights in rugby league, a world class British stand off, McGuire burst onto the scene after the departure of Iestyn Harris to rugby union. McGuire controls all aspects of Leeds' attack, with an accurate kicking game and the ability to make something out of nothing and get through the smallest of gaps.
The devastating partnership that McGuire has created with Rob Burrow has helped Leeds to 2 grand final wins, including, not only shocking St Helens in the 2007 grand final, but outplaying them in every single department for the whole 80 minutes. Sadly McGuire hasn't yet perfected his form at international level but if he can get a steady starting spot for England, he could help them to World Cup glory in 2008.
