Walker shocked many at the end of 2006 by moving from Leeds Rhinos to play Rugby Union for Bath. Whilst at the Rhinos he made 183 appearances over 7 years scoring 344 points.

However this success didn’t continue in his stint in union making only 17 appearances for Bath in which time he scored no points. He returns to League for the 2008 season taking the number 3 jersey for Hull KR and hoping to return to the form he showed at Leeds.
