Paul Cooke was a fans favourite at Hull FC and caused uproar in the city with his controversial transfer to Hull KR last season. He made over 200 appearances for Hull FC scoring nearly 800 points for the team in that time, but when Hull KR were promoted to Super League, Cooke wanted to move back to the team he had supported since his Childhood.
The nature of his transfer caused a lot of controversy and Cooke received a 6 match ban for misconduct which will rule him out for the opening matches of the 2008 season. It is hoped that after that ban he will live up to expectations and lead the Robins to success.
