Hill was a very understated signing of 2007, bringing with him a wealth of experience which has seen him play 5 State of Origin games for New South Wales and 6 tests for Australia. He is undoubtedly a very skilful player, but injuries have plagued him throughout his career, with many questioning his consistency at the highest level. Injury saw him miss Melbourne's 1999 Grand Final, but he led the side in their 2006 defeat to Brisbane.

Part of the very first Melbourne Storm side, Hill has knowledge in developing the game, and his playmaking skills will be valuable to Quins in 2008, as he looks to strike a successful half back partnership with Danny Orr.
