Play-offs on TV

Television viewers will be treated with a feast of play-off action this weekend.

On Thursday, Championship winners Barrow take on Halifax at Craven Park, with the winner earning a place in the Grand Final - the Raiders could be set for their second final of the season after their success in reaching the Northern Rail Cup final in July. The home side will be looking to avenge the two narrow defeats they suffered at the hands of Halifax in the regular season.

On Friday, Leeds and Hull KR get the Super League play-offs underway live on Sky Sports 2. It's the first season of the new play-off system, and whoever loses the match will have another chance to progress in week 2, with the winner going straight through to week 3.

There is a double-header of play-off action on Saturday as St Helens host Huddersfield, again live on Sky Sports 2 at 18:00, followed by Wakefield against Catalans at 20:00. Second place Saints face the Giants in a repeat of the Challenge Cup semi-final, with the loser assured that a defeat won't be the end of their Grand Final dreams.

It is do or die for Wakefield and Catalans though, as well as Wigan and Castleford who face-off in the second elimination play-off at the DW Stadium on Sunday, live on Sky Sports 1 (19:00)
