RL on TV
The collapse of Setanta starves TV viewers of rugby league, with two NRL games now scrubbed off the calendar each week.
It appears that BigPond are going to show NRL matches live via the NRL official website for those based in the UK, so all is not lost. Check the NRL fixtures and of course its official website for more details.
Live rugby league returns to a Friday night on SKY this week after being moved last weekend due to the football, with Wigan hosting Harlequins. The other live Super League game is Hull against Leeds on Saturday, while Barrow host Toulouse in the Thursday National League game.

Every week, this feature will keep you up to date with the latest TV listings specifically related to Rugby League. This includes live coverage of matches, highlights packages and any other shows that cover the greatest game.
Since the inception of Super League in 1996, SKY Sports has monopolised coverage of live Rugby League. They currently show, usually, a live game on a Friday night (usually kicking off at 8pm) with a second live game on a Saturday night (kick off 6.05pm).
Since the beginning of 2007, they have also broadcasted National League matches live on a Thursday night (kick off 7.35pm) which is sandwiched by their weekly highlights package, Boots 'N' All. SKY Sports also broadcast the National League Grand Finals day as well as the final of the Northern Rail Cup, the knockout competition involving clubs from the lower tiers.
Subscription channel Setanta Sports currently holds the rights to NRL coverage, showing live matches on a Saturday and Sunday morning. They took over as NRL broadcasters after SKY decided to drop its coverage at the end of last season.
As for terrestrial coverage, BBC show two live Challenge Cup matches per round from Round 4 onwards, as well as live coverage of the final. They also have a weekly magazine programme called the Super League Show which shows highlights of the Friday and Saturday games from Super League.
