Quite possibly one of the most promising running back rowers in the game, Wilkin was picked up from relative obscurity at Hull KR and has since matured into a major asset for the Red Vee. Wilkin was quite possibly one of the bargains of the new century for the whole of Super League, not just St Helens.

The England and GB international scored an unbelievable brace of tries in the 2006 Challenge Cup final against Huddersfield, despite having his nose broken in the early stages of the game. Wilkin will be one to look out for in 2008 and will be wanting to add to the 40+ tries he has already scored for Saints
