Australian Flannery was signed from the Roosters mid-way through the 2007 campaign as a replacement for the retired Jason Hooper. Although primarily a loose forward, Flannery is known for his utility all over the pitch, having experience in the front row, as a stand off and in the centres.
Flannery is a proven winner, having scored in the 2002 NRL grand final for his former club and amassing 38 tries in 121 appearances in the NRL. A 3 and a half year contract means Flannery will be at the club until the end of the 2010 season at least and will be no doubt a great asset to the Saints during his time at Knowsley Road.
